Director: Inderjit Kaur Khalsa
Producer: Essi Haukkamaa / Greenlit Productions
Power of the People follows the journey of 23-year-old young activist and stage poet Laura Eklund-Nhaga, on her way towards her own kind of activism.
The film reflects on global change, the rise of populism on social media, the role of good communication in activism, grassroots movement, political decision-making and racism, immigration policy, armed violence, police rights and responsibilities, and the role of history in creating our global society, influenced by market economy.
Documentary asks the question, what kind of activism is effective?
